PaperCuts on your desktop.

Install it from the browser in one click. It opens in its own window, stays signed in, and keeps recording when the network drops. The same PaperCuts, updated the moment we ship.

Its own window

No tabs, no address bar. PaperCuts sits in your Dock or taskbar with its own icon, and opens where you left it.

Records through a dropped connection

A live session keeps the audio on your machine. When the network returns, the gap is filled and the transcript catches up.

Updates on its own

New versions arrive in the background. Nothing reloads while you are mid-edit; you get a prompt when it is ready.

On your phone

In the field, from the home screen.

Record an interview from the icon on your home screen. Captions arrive as people speak, the audio stays on the device, and the session lands in the same project as the rest of your footage.

The editing work stays on the desktop. The phone is for capture, for a second screen on set, and for reading a transcript on the way home.

If the manifest looked right, and the paperwork was in order, it went through.

Went through. And who was signing them off?

MO
Marisol12:31

Four years, and not one person asked me a question about it.

DH
Dieter12:52

On the night of the fire, were those files still in the office?

MO
Marisol12:58

They were there until about six. After that I could not tell you.

DH
Dieter13:11

Ruth, you kept copies of all of it.

RA
Ruth13:15

I kept all of it. Every fax, every carbon copy.

How long did the claim take, in the end?
